REQUIREMENTS

 

Experience Desired: Able to work with many children and their parents. 

 

Qualifications: This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents, and administration. Excellent communication and organizational skills.  

 

Physical: Hand-eye/ mind-eye coordination, physical dexterity. 

 

Program Goals: Promote creativity, innovation, problem solving skills, confidence, collaboration and presentation skills.  

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES 

  1. Help develop new/existing teams at the beginning of each school year. 
  2. Connect managers with teams. 
  3. Distribute DI Challenges / handbook / rules to managers for the new school year. 
  4. Organize and help coordinate DI fund raising events. 
  5. Coordinate volunteers 
  6. Work with parents and managers to organize events 
  7. Communicate with managers and parents regarding all DI activities and fund raisers. 
  8. Help mediate disputes between parents and managers or between DI members. Escalate to Superintendent if necessary. 
  9. Register teams and coordinate payment for: 
  10. DI memberships (www.idodi.org) 
  11. Regional tournament (forms from site hosting tournament) 
  12. State tournament (forms from State DI) 
  13. Global tournament (forms from Global organizers) 
  14. Work with State and Regional DI Coordinators to organize regional Team Manager Training meeting and an Instant Challenge Practice Day. 
  15. Coordinate travel and hotel arrangements for State and Global tournaments.  
  16. Help Managers with questions and/or scoring disputes at tournaments. 
  17. Work with the WC office to track payments and deposits for the DI account. 
  18. Keep an open line of communication with our State DI Director.
