REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Master’s Degree. SD Administrative Certificate (preferred).

 

Experience Desired: 3-years teaching experience. Experience in development or implementation of intervention plans.

 

Physical: Constant hand-eye and mind-eye coordination. Frequent walking, keyboarding, speaking, writing, bending, carrying, pushing, pulling, sitting, reaching, stooping, and turning. Other: Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills. Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, data entry, email, and internet. Ability to work with frequent interruptions and keep information confidential. Adhere to District’s Policies and Procedures.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

  1. Develop positive relationships with students.
  2. Communicate regularly with parents about the success and progress of students. 
  3. Assist district principals in the supervision and maintenance of accurate records on the progress, health, behavior, and attendance of students.
  4. Assist the principal in the supervision and evaluation of curriculum.
  5. Maintain high standards of student conduct and discipline students where necessary and appropriate according to due process.
  6. Assist in the duties and responsibilities of the principal in his/her absence.
  7. Work with the faculty in in-service training, program development, and professional growth.
  8. Supervise activities according to the supervision schedule.
  9. Supervise students during study periods.
  10. Work directly with the student services department in providing support for students.
  11. Use data to identify students in need of support.
  12. Coordinate interventions to support students:
    1. Lead the Student Assistant Teams
    2. Develop intervention plans as part of a Multi-tier system of support (MTSS).
    3. Track student data and progress related to intervention plans.
  13. Other duties as assigned.

A post-offer criminal background check is required.

This job performance will be evaluated in accordance with provisions as outlined in District policy and/or procedure.
